Angelic Food for the Soul: Remember Mother AngelicaPosted: March 30, 2016 | Author: Fr. Leo

I pray you continue to have a blessed Easter celebration! Easter for me was extra blessed! Not only did I have the chance to celebrate liturgies in beautiful churches, but I also had the chance to be with family for an Easter Feast!
A glimpse of my family life on Easter.
But above all, as I was relaxing on Easter Sunday evening, I saw some social media reports about the death of Mother Angelica, Foundress of EWTN. This good and holy woman, who gave her entire life to doing God's will, died on Easter Sunday - the day of the Lord's resurrection. I'm not sure if people can call the timing of her death ironic, as I'd call it providential and miraculous.

While her life was filled with ups and downs, one things that remained consistent was her trust in the Lord's goodness. She certainly went through her share of "Good Friday's" - which only means, she will share in the eternal Easter Sundays to come!
I pray that you and your family continue to celebrate Easter. Remember to pray for the repose of the soul of Mother Angelica and her entire community. And above all, follow her example by doing something good in the name of God.
Let us pray:
Father in heaven, thank you for the gift of Mother Angelica. Her feisty and fiery spirit has inspired millions of people to grow closer to God's love. May she be rewarded for her faithfulness in the Eternal Banquet. Through Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen.
