Hope you had a chance to see the CBS Sunday Morning Show. It was a great opportunity to share the simple but important / necessary message about family meal and leaving a little room for God at your dinner table.

I actually didn’t have a chance to see it because I was celebrating Mass for the community at 9:00am where I preached about Christ the King - today’s celebration!

We actually did a promo piece for the Sunday Morning Show on the Baltimore CBS Affliate for yesterday’s morning news. Gosh, they’re nice people!

And, even though I didn’t have a chance to see the clip on CBS, my family had a chance to come up for a visit. It’s been a while since they’ve visited the seminary. We went to Mass together and then to a local place for a wonderful brunch. For me it was a perfect “Grace Before Meals” kinda’ day.
As we approach Thanksgiving Week, I have so much to be thankful for in just these few hours of this beautiful Maryland day.

If you learned about us from the CBS Show, welcome to our Home Page and please be sure to sign up for ongoing weekly fun as I send out free email blasts - bitesized theology for all of the subscribers. Again, it’s free! Join our growing movement and our Grace Before Meals “family” which helps us to spread our message.

Have a blessed day and a week of Giving Thanks!

Greetings Pastor Leo:
We saw the wonderful Sunday Morning story about family cooking/dining together — hooray for making this so much fun! My husband and I love to cook together — with love — and serve family and friends. Our 21-year-old son is almost on his own, but he too is learning to cook to show others love in this way. We just love what you are doing! God bless you richly!
Warm blessings — Carol Johnson

I’m new to your ministry but I’m hooked now. It’s so great to hear the message of the importance of family time. And food too? Terrific!

Dear Father Leo,
Posted by Sue on November 22nd, 2009 at 1:55 pm.My husband and I saw your piece on the CBS Sunday Morning Show. You are an inspiration! We are blessed with two grown sons, who are married. We have two granddaughers, Addison, 2, and Ashley, 21 months, and we are expecting a grandson in March. It was important when our sons, Christopher and Stephen were growing up that we eat together as a family. Conversation is communication and listening is a gift to be treasured. We are blessed that our sons appreciate being able to share each other’s thoughts. They are wonderful sons, husbands and fathers. God Bless You and Keep You in His Care.
So very happy to have seen this mornings CBS Sunday morning. Best Wishes to you Father Leo and everyone who is helping you. I will keep you in my prayers! ms

I also saw the piece on CBS Sunday morning. What a fun way to pull together all your passions and share them with others. Also loved how much you emphasized the importance of family time-I’ve come to appreciate that more. God Bless you, your family and congregation and Happy Thanksgiving!

You are not only a cardinal cook and an adored priest but a truly effective ambassador for the Mount and the Catholic Church! You make the mountainside that much more special. Best wishes…
