We are in the midst of Christian Unity Week, starting today until next Wednesday, while also approaching the Inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump, so I have some thoughts and prayers to share. Watch the video below:
Let us pray – Father, as the United States of America enters into a new transition, preserve our unity as citizens, but also as part of the human family. In a special way, as Christians in America, united under the Lordship of Jesus, give us the Spirit to work to foster peace through humility, service, kindness, good and healthy living, and selfless forgiveness. May we be patient with those who disagree, who harm us by words or action, and those who consider Christianity as “irrelevant.” May we have the strength to build up your kingdom, inspired the Holy Spirit, to foster unity wherever we go and with whomever we meet. Keep us aware that we are part of Your family and remind us that Heaven is our home! Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
